The Executive Chairman of Okemesi/Ido-Ile Local Council Development Area, Hon. Sunday Owolabi Ajibade has urged the newly inaugurated Secretary of the Council, Mr Sesan Jayeola to imbibe the spirit of team work, unity and to embrace oneness with a view to moving and take the LCDA to the next level.
The LCDA Boss offered the advise while administering the oath of office on the new Secretary at the Council Secretariat in Okemesi Ekiti.
Hon. Ajibade, a former lawmaker in the Ekiti State House of Assembly also stressed that as a political administrator of the Council, Mr Sesan Jayeola should be alive to his responsibility and be patriotic.
He expressed the hope that the Council’s secretary would work in unity with his administration in ensuring that the people at the grassroots enjoyed the dividends of democracy.
Responding, the veteran journalist, Mr Sesan Jayeola promised to work harmoniously with the Council Chairman, the career officers and the political leaders for the rapid turnaround of the area.
He thanked the state governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, for considering him worthy of the appointment, promising to justify the confidence reposed in him.
The secretary said that as a retired senior civil servant, he would use his wealth of experience to co-pilot the affairs of the council.
Among the dignitaries at the occasion was the representative of the Olojudo-In-Council, Chief Adesoji Adeleke, the representative of Owa-Ooye-In-Council; Chief Ajibade Ilesanmi, Mrs Modupe Jayeola, and chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Okemesi and Ido-le Ekiti communities.
