Okemesi: Excitement, Glamour As Adeniyi-Eleso Gives Out Daughter In Marriage

Saturday 9, October 2023, was indeed, a day to remember in the lives of the people and residents of Okemesi community in Ekiti West Local Government Areas of Ekiti State, as the family of Mr and Mrs Akinlolu Adeniyi popularly known as Eleso gave their daughter, Aanu Adelodun out in marriage to the family of Mr and Mrs Adejuwon Sunday Adebowale with pomp and celebrations.

The event which began with engagement ceremony as early as 6am at the residence of the bride’s family, Ijana street was well attended.

Joining and thanksgiving service followed immediately at the spacious auditorium of First Baptist Church (Palace of Victory), Awogun’s street Okemesi-Ekiti.

Dignitaries and guests from all walks of life, gorgeously dressed in their best various beautiful attairs Lilac and cream colours with cap, gele and ipele to-match, thereby added glamour and colours to the epoch make event.

The church hall, sparked in a different and very inviting decoration colours for the one in town ceremony.

Diverse musical instruments were on display; drum set, keyboard, base and lead guitar, talking drum and other ensembles and joyous choristers dishing out sonorous music to enliven the guests.

Rejoicing with the celebrants, the senior pastor of First Baptist Church, Okemesi-Ekiti, Rev. John Olaopa in his charge advised the new couple to put God first in the marriage and believe in Him, adding that He alone can handled and do all things in life.

Rev. Olaopa, who described marriage has God’s plan for His people to be together in peace and harmony. He said that the parents of celebrants are among the committed members of the Church, caring, lover of peace and that development of the sanctuary is paramount to them.

According to him, “They love servants of God and always want to see God’s work progressing. As a church, we valued and cherished you so much and God Almighty will continue to keep you for us in sound health. Be rejoice and allow the joy and peace of mind be your watchwords”, he stated.

Giving his appreciation while speaking with TopNewsng shortly after the event, Mr Akinlolu Adeniyi-Eleso thanked the Almighty God for preserving his life and for the sound health he and his family has been enjoying.

His words: “I’ll forever be grateful to God for His provisions, care, love and for being merciful towards my family. Devil don’t want today’s event to come to reality, but our God has proved Himself how mighty He is. Mercy of God kept me till this moment. I’m so grateful to God and all my well-wishers who have celebrated with me both home and abroad. I thank God for showing us mercy”.

 

The new couple, Mr Sunday Isaac and Mrs Aanu Adelodun Adebowale, who could not hold their joy thanked all the families members and friends as well as the body of Christ for gracing the occasion despite their busy scheduled.

The duo appealed to the congregation and other well-wishers to continue praying for them for God’s guidance and projection on daily basis.

Guests were entertained to stupour at a superlative reception held at Fabunmi Memorial High School, along Ajindo/Ikoro road, Okemesi-Ekiti where the upcoming Highlife Juju star, Wolly-B and his Band boys entertained the guests with various danceable songs.

Some of the high profile dignitaries that graced the occasion include the Owa-Ooye of Okemesi-Ekiti, His Royal Majesty Oba Michael Gbadebo Adedeji, JP, CON, Ariyowonye II. Also, the Osolo of Okemesi who doubled as the groom’s father; Chief Adepoju Adebowale, Chief Julius Tai Ariyibi; the Ajagemo of Okemesi alongside other High Chiefs and prominent guests were in attendance.
