The former lawmaker at Ekiti State House of Assembly described teachers as the architect of modern development in all spheres because they do not only teach, but reshape, educate and influence the students positively.

The LCDA Boss, in a congratulatory message made available to TopNewsng in Ado-Ekiti described the roles of teachers in the society as something that are too enormous not to be noted and appreciated. The fate of our society depends on the quality teachers to a great extent.

Hon. Ajibade stressed that, “learning is a lifelong activity. After the initial family learning experience, teachers take over the responsibility of children’s education from the parents. It’s a truism that many parents have limited time to spend with their children due to the exigency of their work that spans through 8am to 5pm daily”.

According to him, “I was a teacher for over a decade before venturing into politics and I have never regretted been a teacher in my life. I know how tedious the teaching job is. Apart from been time consuming activity, it’s also a challenging career. Teachers are the one building the nation. Gone are the days when people used to say teachers reward is in heaven. God knows how to reward any teacher that handles the profession diligently.”

While assuring his continued support and encouragement for the teachers in Okemesi/Ido-Ile LCDA, he however charges teachers to embrace modern teaching techniques and to acquire new skills in order to impact the lives of students positively.

“It’s on this note, I wholeheartedly appreciate and celebrate the teachers for their dedication to duties. I wish you all a happy celebration. God will spare your lives to celebrate many more Teachers Day in good health”. He concluded.
