Nigeria’s Oil Sector Ready For Investment, Lokpobiri Tells Global Investors

Nigeria’s Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, has called on global investors to tap into the country’s vast oil sector opportunities.

Speaking at the Sub-Saharan Africa International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (SAIPEC) in Lagos, Senator Lokpobiri emphasized Nigeria’s commitment to fostering investment through its Local Content Initiative.

The Minister stressed the need for African nations to lead technological innovation in carbon capture as the world transitions to cleaner energy. He urged investors to seize the opportunities presented by Nigeria’s investment-friendly policies and Africa’s expanding energy market.

Senator Lokpobiri also announced the imminent launch of the Africa Energy Bank, which will provide tailored financial solutions to energy investors.

This institution is expected to eliminate a critical hurdle that has long hindered growth in the industry.

With a robust oil and gas sector, progressive policies, and a clear commitment to fostering investments, Nigeria is poised to welcome investors seeking profitable and sustainable ventures in Africa’s energy industry
