“To whom much is given, much is expected. The program organized by professor Modupe Adelabu is highly commendable which others should emulate by given back to their people. We shouldn’t joke with our health because health as they say is wealth and that a wealthy man is the owner of whatever he owns. Anytime anyone feel somehow in their body system or before it will get to that level, they should go and consult their doctor so that the necessary steps will be taken”.

A medical expert of the DSI, Mr Adewole Temitope disclosed that lots of money has been invested on the free health mission just to make sure that a lot of people are taken care considering how expensive it is to have access to quality health care in the country today.

He added that a over five hundred (500) glasses were distributed to the beneficiaries during the program and that the DSI had collaborated with government of Ekiti state in the past to offered healthcare services.

Adewole noted that the turn out was impressive and encouraging. Anyone given back to his or her society by sponsoring free-health program is doing a good job to the community because health is wealth.

“Part of the thing we are doing is free consultation for blood pressure and sugar level including general body checking for minor illness and also referring them to the eye experts personnel for those who may need glasses and they would be referred for a higher treatment and we are glad they are responding.

Adewole therefore urged them to take their health very serious, noting there is nothing to compare with sound health.

Part of the medical test run at the program include free eye checks, distribution of free glasses, medical consultation and checks, health education, Diabetes screening and intervention, hypertension screening and intervention.
