It was like a drama as local vigilantes in Isaya-Ekiti, in the Ekiti East Local Government area of the state, intercepted a vehicle filled with stolen goats in the community.
The interception occured around 3am on Sunday when the suspects were perfecting arrangements to transport the goats numbering about twenty.
Upon the arrival of the men of the Vigilante, the suspects escaped arrest and abandoned the car and the stolen goats on the road.
The Asaya, HRM Oba Ajayi Elejogun, described the incident as unfortunate, urging the police to track down the fleeing suspects.
Policemen in the community have commenced investigation by visiting the scene of the incident.
Residents of the community thanked the vigilantes for foiling the criminal activity and urged them not to relent in their efforts.
