Ahead of the crucial match day of the 2023 African Cup of Nations Qualifier, Nigeria’s Super Eagle Coach, Jose Peseiro has urged Nigerians not to expect an easy game against Sierra Leone.
The 3-time African champions will confront the Leone Stars at the Sam Kanyon Stadium in Monrovia, Liberia on Sunday and a draw will be enough to book a ticket to the biennial competition.
While speaking before the team’s departure, the Portuguese Coach made it clear that it won’t be easy against Sierra Leone because they also wanted to win to qualify.
”It’s going to be a difficult game, we won our first round of games and everyone thought it easy but is not easy.
Even against Guinea-Bissau, we played better but they beat us, it can happen in football.
It won’t be easy for them too because if they don’t beat us they won’t be able to qualify even for Guinea Bissau which defeated Sao Tome at home it was not easy for them”, he said.
