The Ekiti State Coaches Association marked the end of the year with a vibrant celebration and professional development event at the iconic Oluyemi Kayode Stadium in Ado-Ekiti.
The gathering brought together coaches from across the state local, combining festive activities with insightful seminars aimed at enhancing coaching skills and promoting the growth of football in Ekiti.

Guest lecturers included Coach Olawale Olowookere, a renowned youth coach associated with Remo Stars Football Club (also known as Remo Football Club), and Coach Kehinde Anjorin, a seasoned tactician with extensive experience in Ekiti football, including past roles with Ekiti United FC. The duo shared valuable knowledge on youth development, tactical strategies, and the broader societal impact of football, inspiring attendees to elevate their coaching standards.
Participants also took time to commend the exemplary leadership in the state’s sports sector. Special praise was directed at Dr. Olusola Osetoba, the Technical Adviser on Sports Development to Governor Biodun Oyebanji, for her dedicated efforts in advancing sports infrastructure and programs.
The coaches further saluted Governor Biodun Abiodun Oyebanji for his outstanding contributions to the sports department, highlighting ongoing upgrades at facilities like the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium and initiatives supporting youth talent. In a unified call, the association urged all Ekiti residents to rally behind the governor by supporting and voting for his re-election, emphasizing that continued progress in sports and development depends on sustaining his administration’s momentum.
The event underscored the association’s commitment to professional growth and unity, ending on a high note of optimism for Ekiti football in the coming year.
