Former governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State, Dr. Oluwole Olumayokun Oluyede, is set to launch the Oluyede Progressive Alliance for Renewed Hope Agenda (OPARHA) following a strategic meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The planned launch comes after Oluyede presented a comprehensive document titled “Strategic Grassroots Mobilisation for the Renewed Hope Agenda” to the President. The document outlines a framework aimed at strengthening grassroots engagement and mobilising widespread support for Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda across Ekiti State ahead of the 2027 general election.
Oluyede said discussions during the meeting centred on the future of Ekiti State and practical ways to build an inclusive grassroots movement capable of enhancing public participation, fostering national unity and securing strong electoral support for the President in the next election cycle.
Reflecting on the June 20, 2026 governorship election in Ekiti State, he noted that attention must now shift towards broader national objectives.
“Our focus must now shift to the next national assignment. It is time for all lovers of Ekiti and Nigeria to unite in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. I strongly believe Ekiti State has the capacity to deliver an overwhelming mandate for Mr. President in 2027 through strategic grassroots mobilisation and collective commitment,” he said.
Oluyede explained that the strategic document was conceived long before the governorship election as part of a long-term vision for grassroots development and citizen engagement. According to him, it was initially designed as a roadmap for governance but has now been repurposed to support national development following the conclusion of the election.
He emphasised that leadership goes beyond electoral victory, noting that commitment to public service must remain constant regardless of political outcomes.
The proposed OPARHA initiative is designed as a non-electoral platform focused on grassroots mobilisation and public engagement. It will establish structures across all 16 local government areas and 177 political wards in Ekiti State.
Its framework includes town hall meetings, stakeholder consultations, public enlightenment campaigns, youth and women mobilisation, volunteer development, media communication, digital engagement, policy advocacy and feedback mechanisms to strengthen interaction between government and citizens.
Operating under the theme “Mobilising Grassroots Support for National Development” and the motto “One Ekiti. One Vision. Renewed Hope,” the platform aims to encourage civic participation and improve public understanding of government policies and programmes.
Oluyede commended the leadership of the PDP in Ekiti State, as well as party elders, stakeholders, members and supporters for their support during the governorship election.
“I sincerely appreciate the leadership of our great party, the PDP in Ekiti State, our respected elders, party executives, women, youths, volunteers, polling agents and every supporter who stood with us throughout the campaign. I am deeply grateful to the good people of Ekiti State who believed in our vision and entrusted us with their support. Your loyalty, prayers, sacrifices and confidence in me will never be taken for granted.”
He also expressed gratitude to residents of the state, noting that their support and resilience remain a major source of motivation for his continued commitment to public service.
Oluyede urged his supporters to remain hopeful, peaceful and united, stressing that the desire for a better Ekiti State remains strong despite the outcome of the election.

According to him, politics should serve as a vehicle for development and unity rather than division.
He disclosed plans to begin consultations with leaders across political parties, including the PDP, APC, Labour Party, ADC and SDP, as well as traditional rulers, community leaders, youth and women groups, professional bodies, artisans, farmers and civil society organisations.
He said the consultations would focus on building a broad-based coalition aimed at supporting Tinubu’s re-election while promoting peace, unity and sustainable development in the state.
“This movement is open to every well-meaning son and daughter of Ekiti State who believes in progress, unity and national development. Our collective responsibility now is to work together beyond political affiliations in the interest of our state and our country.”
Reaffirming his commitment to the state, Oluyede said his focus remains on peace, unity and development above personal ambition.
He added that while elections produce winners and losers, the real victory lies in collective progress when leaders prioritise cooperation.
He therefore urged his supporters to remain law-abiding and continue to promote peaceful coexistence while contributing to the development of Ekiti State.
The official launch of OPARHA is expected to feature the presentation of its strategic blueprint, organisational structure and implementation roadmap, alongside the inauguration of coordinators at the state, local government and ward levels.
The initiative will also unveil a comprehensive grassroots engagement programme covering all parts of the state, with emphasis on policy communication, community participation, youth and women empowerment, volunteer mobilisation and evidence-based engagement.
Oluyede expressed confidence that with unity and strategic mobilisation, Ekiti State can play a leading role in delivering strong support for President Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
“Leadership is not defined by winning an election alone; it is defined by the willingness to continue serving the people regardless of the circumstances. My commitment to Ekiti State and Nigeria remains unwavering. Together, we can build a stronger, more united and more prosperous future under the Renewed Hope Agenda.”
The launch is expected to draw political leaders, traditional rulers, professionals, youth and women groups, market associations, farmers, artisans, religious leaders and other stakeholders, marking the beginning of what organisers describe as a long-term movement for grassroots mobilisation and national development.
