Governor Oyebanji Reiterates Commitment To Secure Environment, Optimal Productivity

The governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, has Reiterated his administration commitment to farmers in the State of a very conducive environment and continuous support of the present government in the state which will eventually enhance their farms productivity.

The the governor who spoke through his Senior Special Assistant on Farm Settlement and Agriculture, Mr. Temitope Adewole during a working visit to the office the Coordinator of Grazing Management in the State, Chief Adeniyi Adedipe.

The crucial meeting which form part of the efforts of the Oyebanji-led administration to ensure food security through sustainable agriculture and a secure farming environment, also centered on agencies’ synergy for optimal productivity of farmers across farm settlements in the State, had other important issues such as securing the farming environment from intruders and illegal headers grazing on farmers’ crops.

The All Progressives Congress stalwart who spoke of Governor Oyebanji’s determination to take full advantage of the agrarian setting of the State, stressed the need to put the energy and dedication of young farmers to good use. He added that Ekiti State can produce for itself and neighboring States if the farm settlements across the State perform to their full capacity.

Reacting, Chief Adeniyi Adedipe pledged his readiness to join hands with the SSA to achieve his lofty ideas of how to make the settlements more productive. He added that agencies’ collaboration is important as this will make their tasks easier.

The Coordinator, Grazing Management added that the Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, has just inaugurated the Ekiti Agro Marshals to safeguard farmlands, schools, and palaces across the state, and these personnel and other securities under his supervision are always willing to attend to emergencies and would give the required support to keep the Farm Settlements alive with productive farming activities.
