New Dawn As EKSG Announces Bailey, Kiyesola As Ekiti Queens Feeders Coaches

In what looks exciting news to stakeholders, sports lovers and fans across the length and breath of Ekiti state, the state government has named two professional coaches that would pilot the affairs if Ekiti Queens Feeders Team in the state.

Bailey Abimbola was announced as Head Coach and Kiyesola Aderemi Jubril emerged the Assistant Coach for the newly established Feeders Team for the state-owned female Football Club, Ekiti Queens FC, to further increase the participation of indigenous female football in the state.

In a statement signed by the Technical Advisor, Sports Development to the Ekiti Government, Dr Olusola Osetoba and made available to TopNews in Ado-Ekiti by the Media Officer of Ekiti Queens FC, comrade Demola Atobaba, stated that, “Governor Biodun Oyebanji has deeply identified sports as a powerful tool for youth development and is leaving no stone unturned in creating enabling platforms for talented youths of the state to build successful careers in sport.

“The aims and objectives behind the establishment of the feeders team is to create additional platform for upcoming female footballers in the state to nurture their dreams of laying professional football”.

The statement further said, “Our determination is to further on our developmental plan for sport in the state and by extension the state-owned female football club, Ekiti Queens. The idea is to develop a long term plan where our indigenous female footballers will showcase, nurture and develop their talents to become accomplished and professional footballers”.

As a government with fixated attention to sport development, our holistic approach towards the advancement of sport in the state has further created more awareness on the opportunities in sport and it has attracted increased participation amongst the youth populace of Ekiti State and we are determined to do more.

According to the release, “Ekiti Queens Feeders, apart from being a platform for our indigenous female footballers to gain access to the professional side Ekiti Queens FC, it will also become an avenue to spotlight the young players for marketing values.

It said the age bracket for the feeders team would be between the 15 and 18 years and shall be placed on monthly stipend”, the statement concluded.
