In a grand display of appreciation, the Ijero Local Government Council was today Friday April 11th, 2025 celebrated the outgoing Zonal Inspector, Mr. Bola Babalola, in a ceremony that was nothing short of spectacular.
The event, which was attended by top government officials, community leaders, and well-wishers, was a testament to Mr. Babalola’s dedication and commitment to the community during his tenure.
The ceremony was filled with pomp and pageantry, as the local government council honored Mr. Babalola’s meritorious service to God and humanity. The event featured a grand reception, cultural performances, and heartfelt tributes from colleagues and local Government members.
Ijero Local Government Council Chairman, Hon. Abayomi Folowosele, praised Mr. Babalola, describing him as a peace-loving man who upheld equity and justice. He expressed gratitude to God for making the event possible and thanked Mr. Babalola for his fatherly leadership and wise guidance throughout his tenure.
“Mr. Babalola is a man of peace, equity, and justice,” Hon. Folowosele said. “We thank God for making this event a reality, and we appreciate Mr. Babalola’s fatherly role and the wisdom bestowed on him by the Supreme Creator to enable him to pilot the affairs of every local government and LCDA under his watch.”
Mr. Ariyo Olawale, Head of Local Government Administration, also showered encomiums on Mr. Babalola, calling him a leader with a big heart who always fought for his team’s rights and benefits. He encouraged others to emulate Mr. Babalola’s good character and advised him to stay connected with his colleagues.
“Mr. Babalola is a leader with a larger heart, and self-centeredness cannot be found in his diary,” Mr. Olawale said. “He is a leader who always fights for the right and benefit of his disciples. I admonish you all to emulate his good character. I also advise him not to distance himself from the lieutenants he left behind in the service.”
Mr. Babalola’s departure from the local government service marks the end of an era, but his legacy will continue to inspire and motivate future generations of public servants.
The Ijero Local Government Council has expressed its gratitude to Mr. Babalola for his tireless efforts in promoting good governance and community development.
As Mr. Babalola begins his new chapter, he takes with him the goodwill and appreciation of the good people of Ijero Local Government community, who wish him well in his future endeavors.
