HON. OWOLABI AJIBADE; The Pathfinder of Our Developmental Projects in Okemesi/Ido Ile LCDA

Hon. Owolabi Ajibade is an iconic political pathfinder, an impeccable leader and model of note. His life has been entirely in serving humanity. He remains one of the most influential, courageous and principled politician because of his records of achievements in the political space.

It is abundantly clear that Hon. Owolabi Ajibade came from good, disciplined and God-fearing home, considering his antecedents, (his past and present records of achievements) in the course of serving humanity speaks volumes among his peers.

The virtues of courage, determination, commitment, vision, focus and strong sense of purpose that characterized his politics are no doubt responsible for his extraordinary performance when he served this same constituency as honourable member in the Ekiti State House of Assembly, which eventually earned him catalogues of awards and a popular nickname Obama of Our time by all the youths in the constituency.

Hon. Owolabi Ajibade is a distinguished patriot and a Man of legendary fidelity, who had through his socially-acknowledged integrity and strong drive for an equitable justice, worked and still working to make better impacts on the lives of people of the grassroots especially in his constituency.

It’s worth extolling him for his remarkable, resourcefulness and discernable achievements in terms of physical developments in Okemesi and Ido-Ile communities. Some of the projects executed by his administration within a year in the saddle as the LCDA Chairman are listed below:

1. Re-construction of damaged box culvert at Okerena, Okemesi-Ekiti 

2. Construction of 600 Meters line drainage with three culverts at Okeokuta, Okemesi-Ekiti 

3. Construction of 200 Meters line drainage at Ido-Ile Ekiti

4. Construction of 30 open market stalls at a new market site in Ido-Ile Ekiti

5. Construction of abbatoir in Okemesi (ongoing)

6. Construction of ultra-modern office complex at the LCDA (Secretariat) permanent site. The building contained fourteen offices, each with ante room and toilet facilities and has been completely roofed

7. Borehole sank at the permanent site

8. Empowerment to farmers and women. This includes Knapsack sprayers, Herbicides and cutlasses were distributed to thirty farmers in each ward at the beginning of this year planting season. Also gas cylinders were distributed to at least 10 women in each ward

9. The LCDA under his supervision is raising 1,500 Hybrid Oilpalm seedlings which will soon be sold to farmers at subsidised rate

10. Cultivation of Hybrid Maize Inter-cropped with Hybrid cassava

11. Repair and refurbishing of two out of the three non-functional vehicles inherited from Ekiti west

12. Grading of roads in Okemesi and Ido-Ile respectively (including farm settlements)

13. Purchase of a laptop for FIOU JAMB free-coaching center and JAMB forms for some brilliant but indigent students

14. Construction of box culvert at Ogunna street, ldo-Ile Ekiti

15. Purchase of 50 plastic chairs for the LCDA registry.

One of the Yoruba adage says; “Arise n’larika…! As the journey for his second term get started, let us support, embrace, encourage and pray along with him for a better and uptimum performance and for more physical developmental projects in Okemesi/Ido Ile LCDA. Gbogbo awon Omo tiwa naa a sayiye loju emi wa o – Aamin.
