Group Reiterates Support For Oyebanji’s Administration, Set To Give Empowerment To Members

A socio-political group based in Ekiti State; Okinlua Support Group for BAO has pledged their continue support for the Governor of the state; Biodun Oyebanji and his Deputy; Chief Mrs Monisade Afuye on the new year celebration and for piloting the affairs of Ekiti with various landmark achievements in all the nooks and crannies of the state.

Assuring commitment while speaking in Ado-Ekiti with TopNews, the convener of the group, Hon. Adetunji Ade-Segun popularly known as Olowojegure, described Governor Oyebanji as a man of the people who is passionate about the progress and development of the state in general.

According to him; “the administration of the governor has witnessed various giants strides and achievements under the astute leadership of Mr Biodun Oyebanji and the Deputy; Chief Monisade Afuye. Their commitment, dedication, and unwavering focus on the development and progress of Ekiti State have been truly commendable.

“Governor Oyebanji’s visionary leadership has resulted in the implementation of numerous policies and initiatives aimed at transforming Ekiti state into a hub of economic growth, social development, and good governance. His efforts in the areas of education, healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture, and security have positively impacted the lives of the people of the state.

He further stated that, “the Deputy Governor; Chief (Mrs) Monisade Afuye’s unalloyed loyalty to her boss has no doubt contributed to Mr governor’s unprecedented achievements within one and a half year in office.

The All Progressives Congress stalwart disclosed that the group is set to ensure members get dividends of democracy through series of empowerment.

He said, “I on behalf of the Okinlua Support Group for BAO hereby expressed my profound appreciation to our amiable, committed Governor Biodun Oyebanji and Deputy Governor; Chief (Mrs) Monisade Afuye for their collaborative approach to governance, which has fostered unity, peace, and progress within the state. Their commitment to upholding democratic principles and ensuring the welfare of the people is highly commendable.

The group affirmed that the governor and his deputy had shown rare leadership skills and uncommon compassion in terms of communities and rural development in the state.

He congratulated the governor for the outstanding performance and prayed that God grant him more wisdom, knowledge and understanding to consolidate on the achievements recorded so far in the coming years.

While urging the governor for a better recognition for the members of the group in terms of appointments, he also equally tasked the governor to remember them as regards the dividends of the administration put in place for the people of the state as part of measures to cushion the effect of the fuel subsidy removal, a gesture they described as unprecedented.

Some of the members, including the Chairman Empowerment Committee in a separate interview with journalists urged those who will be on the beneficiaries list to make judicious use of the guesture. They also appealed to present administration to please remember Okinlua Support Group for BAO in their plans by putting smiles on the faces of their members through appointments.

“We’ve suffered for the party as we stood solidly behind our governor, we also want his attention that he should not forget us. We know the governor as a man of his word, he is a rare breed who doesn’t toy with whatever he says.

“He is a courageous, transparent and passionate leader who is sincere in his quest towards the delivery of the promises made to the people of our beloved state, but we need his attention and recognition for our members.

They pledged their continue unalloyed loyalty of the group to the present administration, and also to ensure that more dividends of democracy are delivered to the people of the state, prayed that Mr governor and his deputy’s tenure be marked with greater achievements and more prosperity for the good people of Ekiti even down to the grassroot.
