This development signify that the informal sector of Nigeria’s economy will continue to be a good source of employment generation particularly for the increasing rate of job-seeking youths as it will definitely gives more job opportunities to the teeming youths and thereby compliment government efforts.
Playing host to such a gigantic monumental edifice has positively affected the innocence of the host city as buyers and fun seekers from all walks of life have over time, made Oluwaloseyifunmi Phonez Global Company, Ado-Ekiti, their first to shop and also a destination of choice and a pride to all Ekiti people.

Ayodele Oluwaloseyifunmi Lawal, an enterprising and unassuming high flyers, who runs the business over 15-years ago in an exclusive interview with TopNews team, listed a numbers of phone gadgets and other accessories that adorn the plaza to the customers, which according to him, started the business with just a umbrella where he was selling recharge cards in one of the University campus in the state.
Went a memory lane, the Chief Executive Officer of Oluwaloseyifunmi Phonez Global Company, explained that acquiring a new site for the relocation of the company was because of the expansion in the chain of goods, the deals in coupled with rising level of customers’ patronage on a daily basis. He appreciated God and described the day as ordained by Him when a long-time dream became a reality.
His words: “I have been in this type of business for long. God has been so kind and surprising us everyday. All I want to say is that, it is God’s doing. We thank God for how far we have gone. The business began in 2008 on a small-scale, and it has expanded to the level we are today. I began with a single umbrella by selling recharge cards with one of my friends whom we’re still together till today”.
The business tycoon remarked that the humble beginning of the business was at Iworoko-Ekiti, UNAD now EKSU, down to Ado-Ekiti. Adding that by the expansion, the inconveniences encountered by customers would be drastically lessened. “Since April 2022, we started this building and to the glory of God, we completed it, and today we are commissioning it. By God’s grace the patronage has been encouraging as the customers are trouping in their numbers and we’re excited with this development”.

The entrepreneur urged customers to expect an improvement on what the company had been offering them before. He said the organization can now boast of enough space to give them quality service. “We have different sections that can serve the customers, such as phone, laptop, desktop fixing/repair sections. We deal in different quality brands such as IPhone, Samsung techno, infinix, Itel, Vivo among others”. Our prices are moderate, at least to encourage old and potential customers. For this reason, we go extra mile to effect reduction in prices”.
Mr Lawal anchored this gesture on the fact that it is the customers that have kept the business afloat. He stressed that the action also implies payback time. “So this is payback time. In this December, there is massive discount for our customers. There is raffle draw for those who purchase some items and whatever you win, you go home with it. Our old and intending customers are appreciated. We are ready to offer you the best”.
He posited that the employment policy of his company is not based on religious and ethnic lines. “We have served and still continue to serve the good people of Ekiti State by making different latest of brands available and accessible to customers.
Reflecting on various challenges facing the business, Mr Oluwaloseyi pointed out that sourcing funds for the expansion was not easy. But the company had to approach some financial institutions for credit facilities which aided the journey to get to a fruitful and happy destination.
In a separate interview with TopNews, the father of the entrepreneur, Chief Lawal Ayodele Akinola, expressed gratitude to God over the life of his son who has recorded a tremendous milestone in his business career.
Also, the Elemure of Emure-Ekiti, HRM Oba Emmanuel Adebayo, who was ably represented by the Aremo of Emure Kingdom, Prince Clement Akinola, who observed that the business will definitely make impact positively on the society as it will create more employment opportunities to the young graduates.
The traditional ruler described Oluwaloseyifunmi as a good ambassador of Emure-Ekiti who has makes his mark and as someone that is leaving indelible footprints in the anal of business sector in the country.
Some of the customers who spoke with newsmen include Elder Joel Famodimu from Ise-Ekiti and Mrs Abike Adeleye from Ifaki-Ekiti expressed delights over what their experience be at occasion, and thereby commended both the staff and management for the hospitality, slashed in the prices and gift items.
One of the high point of the ceremony was the display of raffle draw competition where customers went home with different goods and brands as gift, thereby added glamour and colour to the memorable occasion with various performance to the administration of the elated audience.
