The leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ekiti State Council, has expressed delight over the elevation of one of its senior members, Prince Adeyemi Adejolu to the position of the Acting Registrar of the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti.
The council in a release made available to TopNews by the Chairman, comrade Rotimi Ojomoyela and the Secretary, comrade Kayode Babatuyi congratulated Prince Adejolu for the elevation with a prayer to God to see him through the new task.
The Union appreciates the Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. Temitope John Alake for considering Prince Adejolu for the exalted position with a promise that he will perform beyond expectation.
The statement described Prince Adejolu as an experience, thoroughbred and professional journalist who has all it takes to deliver on the new assignment and bring new initiatives that will make the institution better.
It added that, though the Union has its reservations about the attitude of the current leadership of the Polytechnic to the media, “we believe that the advent of Adejolu into the management cadre will serve as an opportunity to advise the Rector rightly on the need to revitalize and strengthen its relationship with the NUJ body in the state”.
