….Osetoba hail Oyebanji giant strides

The atmosphere of the popular Oluyemi Kayode Stadium in Ado-Ekiti went agog as sports family in the state went home with palliative of different categories items organized by the Ekiti State government for the sports sector through the office of Sports Development under the watch of the Technical Advisor on Sports Development, Dr. Olusola Osetoba who throughout oversee the distribution.

Over two thousand beneficiaries were accredited with their PVC and NIN by the organizers during the exercise that covered all sectors within the Ekiti State sports community, including the Ekiti State Sports Commission management, directors, staff of state secretariat, athletes, Ekiti United FC, Ekiti Queens FC, Ekiti United Feedeers, Queens Feeders, PFAN, Coaches Association, Referees Association, SWAN, Ekiti Supporters Club, plus other affiliated sports associations in the state.

Fielding questions from journalist during the distribution, the Technical Advisor to the Governor on Sports Development, Dr. Olusola Osetoba, who welcomed the monitoring team from Monal Innovation Initiatives, reaffirmed Governor Oyebanji’s commitment to the growth and development of sports in Ekiti State.
She emphasized that the Governor remains passionate about using sports as a tool for youth empowerment, engagement, and development, helping young people become productive citizens and future champions.
Dr. Osetoba further expressed appreciation to Governor Oyebanji for his unwavering support and concern for the welfare of the sports community. She also highlighted the various infrastructural developments currently ongoing at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, including reconstruction works and the construction of a modern indoor sports complex, which she described as a major boost to sports development in the state.

Commenting on the exercise, the team leader of Monal Innovation Initiatives, Mr. Tomiwa Akinbowale, commended Dr. Osetoba for her exemplary leadership and effective coordination, which ensured a smooth and transparent distribution process. He also appreciated all sports stakeholders for their cooperation and orderly conduct before and during the exercise.
Giving his appreciation in an interactive with TopNews, one of the beneficiaries who also doubled as the Assistant Captain of Para-Soccer Team, Abdullahi Abubakar expressed gratitude at the government’s commitment to the welfare of sports stakeholders.
He noted that the gesture demonstrated the administration’s genuine concern for the sports community and pledged continued support and cooperation from sports stakeholders across the state.
The palliative distribution further reflects the Oyebanji administration’s commitment to promoting sports development and enhancing the welfare of athletes and sports administrators across length and breght of Ekiti.
