Ekiti Queens FC Thrashes Feeders Team 6 Goals To Nill

…Set for NWFL pre-season competition

The Ekiti Queens Football Club in a dramatic pre-season football friendly match held in Ado-Ekiti has defeated the Ekiti Feeders Team six goals to zero.

In a release made available to TopNews by the Media Officer of Ekiti Queens FC, comrade Demola Atobaba, said the friendly game which played at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital had in attendance sports stakeholders, SWAN, supporters club association, members of PFAN, football fans and many others.

It would be recalled that Ekiti Queens FC did all they could to shared a 1-1 draw with their counterpart from Osun State, the Osun Babes FC about a week ago. They also beat their host the All Stars International Football Club Ekiti chapter last Saturday with 2:1 in a friendly engagement.

Speaking shortly after the game, the Head Coach of Ekiti Queens FC, Jacob Vandi in a post match interview with journalists, said the team really tried and that though he was not hundred percent impressed with their performances, but as they progress in more engagements, fans and supporters should expect a better outing in their next game as they will continue to again slog it out in a more build up matches.

According to coach Vandi, it was observed that some areas need to be worked on and that he would work towards fixing it in order to change the fortunes of the team, describing the team’s current situation as temporary as they are improving day-by-day and get use to the game.

He appreciated the government of Ekiti State under the leadership of Mr Biodun Oyebanji and his wife, Associate Professor Olayemi Oyebanji for leaving no stone unturned when it comes to developing football in the state.

Jacob Vandi reinstate his commitment to justify the confidence repose in him and his technical crew to bring more glory to the state through football.

His words: “We are still in building up stage as the players were recently gathered from different premiership clubs. I know the expectation is high but, we have to be patient with the team so as to get the best out the players as we have many good legs in our team who can deliver. We are going for the pre-season competition so as also to get good players as well”.

Vandi also appealed to the fans and supporters not to relent in their continue support for the team as Ekiti Queens set for Abuja trip for the new season tournament competition.
