The burial of the sports icon in Nigeria, Chief Adegboye Onigbinde has been announced for Tuesday June 23 this year.
The activities marking the burial of Late former Super Eagles Coach, Chief Onigbinde with a Memorial Lecture and Press Conference have was scheduled for Ibadan, Oyo State on Tuesday, 23rd June, 2026.
According to the Secretary, Organizing Committee, Chief Femi Okenla, the event titled, “Coach Adegboye Onigbinde: Nigeria Football Coaches Pathfinder”, will take place at the Media Centre, Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Ibadan by half past nine in the morning.
The state added that the guest speakers are Dr Felix Owolabi and Dr Abiodun Salami.
Late Chief Adegboye Onigbinde, who died on the 9th of March, this year, led the Super Eagles to the 1984 AFCON and 2002 World Cup and was a prominent FIFA and CAF Instructor during his active days.
