‘Be A Multitasking Journalists’, Erstwhile NUJ Chair, Tai Oguntayo Tasks Media Practitioners

Frontline journalist and Publisher of Fountain Newsbreaker Newspaper, Akogun Tai Oguntayo, has urged media practitioners across the country to buckle up their belts and be a multitasking professionals.

He gave the charge at a Book lunch titled: “Radio Production Without Stress”, written by ace broadcaster; Mr Kayode Ogundapo of Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Progress FM, Ado-Ekiti.
Reviewing the book at the RATAWU building progress FM chapter, Akogun Oguntayo identified the new book as a booster that would guide the upcoming journalists to limelights.
While lauded Kayode Ogundapo for the foresight to write the book, Akogun Oguntayo called on journalists to be multi-tasking.

He charged all members and staff of Radio Nigeria to continue working in harmony with the General Manager for the betterment of the station and media industry as a whole.
Akogun Oguntayo who served as Special Adviser to the late Speaker of the House of Assembly, noted that, “When there is a synergy between the head of any organization and the staff, it enables the citizens to enjoy a correct outputs to the fullest”.

The former NUJ Chairman commended the General Manager of the station; Dr Mrs Adebola Agbaje for allowing the celebrant to go this far, describing this as “a good gesture toward strengthening media industry and it’s practitioners at large.”
Also speaking at the event, the Provost of the Harvester Theological Seminary; Ado-Ekiti Dr Earnest Akintoye, charged the celebrant to continue share his wealth of experience with coming generation so as to achieve a better society.
Rejoicing with the celebrant at a superlative thanksgiving service held at the First Baptist Church (Miracle Cathedral) auditorium, Okeyinmi, Ado-Ekiti, the senior pastor; Reverend Dr Kayode Ayinde described Ogundapo as a very intelligent, humble and committed personalty.
Reverend Ayinde, therefore urged the congratulations to buy into the project but getting copies and as well contribute to the launching, adding that it will be useful to all.
He prayed that the book and the golden jubilee age will not be the last on earth and wish him and his family a more fruitful years in sound health.
In their remarks while speaking with TopNewsng shortly after the event, the highly elated Kayode Ogundapo and his wife, Omolara who appreciated God for sparing his life, thanked all those who contributed to the success of the book.
Ogundapo who could not hold his joy disclosed that his joy and happiness knew no bound because of all what God has done in his life and family members.
“It’s not easy to clock the golden age, because so many things has happened. The journey so far was rough and rugged but in all, I give God all the glory and adoration for sparing my life. Today, I have nothing to say than to give God my thanks.
According to him, “the book: Radio Production Without Stress”, the purpose of writing the book is to put together all my experiences and wisdom in written form. As a radio producer, I’ve acquired alot of wisdoms and experience in the job especially when I was opportuned to attended Radio Nigeria training school at Sogunle Lagos. The book is all about what radio is. It will be useful for all media practitioners both the script writers, radio producers and as well as journalists in making”.
Dignitaries within and outside Ekiti that grace the event include the Senior Pastor First Baptist Church Ado-Ekiti; Rev. Dr. Kayode Ayinde represented by Deacon Segun Ogundare, Professor Segun oyedeji from FUOYE, Chairman of the occasion, Engr. Ayoola Osalusi (NNSE) and also General Manager Ekiti State Waste Management Authority, Father of the day Chief Nathaniel Aladesiun; Chairman Alade Nigeria Limited, Deaconess Dr. Ronke Ogunleye and Barrister Monday Perebo.
