The stage is set for what promises to be a thrilling grand finale of the 3rd Agbeyewa Secondary Schools football competition as two outstanding teams , Aramoko District Commercial Secondary School (ADICO) and Igogo Commercial High School have booked places in the much-anticipated final match scheduled for next week Tuesday.
One of the semi final games decided yesterday ended in penalty shootout as ADICO Aramoko defeated Efon High School 5–3 on penalties to seal their passage to the finals.
The second semi final match also played yesterday ended in penalties as Igogo Commercial High School defeated Eporo High School 4 goals to 2.

Attention now shifts to the Olukismet Stadium, Ikere-Ekiti, where the grand finale will be played next week Tuesday October 28.
The 3rd-place match between Efon High School and Eporo High School will kick off at 2 p.m., while the final clash between ADICO Aramoko and Igogo Commercial High School kicks off at 4p.m.
Eventual Winners of the Agbeyewa Secondary School football competition will go home with sum of #1 million and a giant trophy while runners up will get #750 thousand and a trophy just as #500 thousand and a trophy also go to the third place team and the team that finishes fourth will get consolation prize of #250 thousand.
In the meantime, the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria ( SWAN) Ekiti State chapter has signified interest in supporting the lofty Agbeyewa Cup for Secondary Schools initiative.
At a press Parley with the organizers on Wednesday at the Olukismet Stadium in Ikere, the Executive of SWAN led by Qozeem Oladapo promised to present a plaque for the FAIR PLAY AWARD to the deserving team at the end of the Agbeyewa Cup 2025.
The SWAN executive noted that the support is aimed at identifying with the organizers for putting together one of the Best Youth tournaments in Ekiti State and reviving healthy Sports rivalry in Schools.
In the same vein, the SWAN chairman, Qozeem Oladapo promised to personally present an award plaque to the principal of Ekiti State Government College in Ado Ekiti, Mr Eweje Olaonipekun as the BEST SPORTS PASSIONATE & SUPPORTIVE SCHOOL PRINCIPAL in recognition and appreciation of his rare commitment to Sports development in his school.
In the same vein, at the grand finale of the 2025 Agbeyewa Cup, the President of Cavista Holdings and CEO of Agbeyewa Farms, Mr Niyi John Olajide will be decorated as the Grand Patron of SWAN, Ekiti State.
