2023/24 NWFPL: Stage Set As Ekiti Queens FC Engages Remo Stars Ladies Today

All is set for another weeks of hot football actions in the ongoing 2023/2024 National Women Football Premiership League (NWFPL) competition, as the Ekiti Queens Football slugging it out with their host side; Remo Stars Ladies Football Club in Ogun State.

According to a release made available to journalists by the Media Officer of Ekiti Queens FC, comrade Demola Atobaba explained that the players are in their total high spirit and ready to cause upset for the host team in Ogun State as from 4:00pm in continuation of the tournament.

“The hope is rising as they will hit the meeting venue with a bang for the last lap of the first stanza of the NWFPL against their counterpart today”.

It explained that Ekiti Queens FC have played six matches so far, drew two, lost three, won one and currently sitting at the seventh position of group B log.

According to the Technical Adviser of Ekiti Queens FC, Okuwa Gift Igunbor said her side will improve on their last victory against Remo Star Ladies FC when they face the visiting team tomorrow at Ikene Remo Stadium in Ogun State.

Her words: “My team side are well prepared and determined to win the encounter tomorrow. We all know that the game of football is all about determination and confidence, we remain focused on why we are here in Ogun State, which is to pick points so that we can move up on the group log”.

The Technical Adviser reitrated the team’s commitment towards making the fans and supporters proud adding that the league is a marathon and continuous exercise that requires a lot of consistency, perseverance, saying all they need is just to put in everything technically to get the desired result for them to move on to the next level in the competition.

She disclosed that they will make use of the mid season transfer window to fortify the team with more quality players in order to complement the existing one in the team.

“Despite the fact that I have confidence in the current squad, it’s important for us to bring in new experience players to blend with the players we have, some of our players are injured and anytime from now, the Federation Cup will start, bringing all these factors together, it will be a good idea for us to bring in new players, this I think will also add values to the team’s performances”, Igunbor explained.
