After about a couple of weeks of hot football actions in the ongoing 2023 Okemesi Inter-Street Football Competition, the four teams that have started slugging it out in the semi final 1 and 2 are Okerena FC, Odowo FC, Ijana FC and Obanla FC.

Football field tomorrow Thursday as from 4:00pm in continuation of the tournament.
The grand finale of the 2023 Okemesi Inter-Street Football Competition will be decided on Saturday December 30 at the same venue, while 3rd place match will be play same day by 2:00pm and the final match will commence at exactly 4:00pm.
The team that have already qualified for the final stage is Okerena FC who beat Odowo FC 4-2 through penalty kick after a 90 minutes+ goalless draw at the semi final 1 held today at the Fabunmi Memorial High School, Okemesi-Ekiti.
The 4th edition of the 2023 Okemesi Inter-Street Football Competition is sponsored by Okemesi Youth Forum (OYF), as part of the youth organs of the town’s effort at discovering hidden talents in the teeming youths and upcoming sports superstars.
The TopNews Crew are fully on ground and we are glad to inform you that indeed, this year’s tournament edition has kept lots of youths in Okemesi community in the Okemesi/Ido-Ile Local Council Development Area busy though their participation has also exposed the numerous budding talents in the town.
At the end of the final encounter, a trophy goes to the eventual champions, medals and other prizes are also up fro grabs by other outstanding teams and players.
Some of the personalities expected at the grandfinale of the competition include the Owa-Ooye of Okemesiland, HRM Oba Michael Gbadebo Adedeji, JP, CON, Ariyowonye II, Owa-Ooye-In-Council, FOIU National President, Engr Nathaniel Olaoye, immediate past Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Ekiti State; Mr Olawale Fapohunda SAN, Asiwaju of Okemesi; Chief Samuel Bolarinde, FOIU National Vice President 1; Otunba Kayode Olagunju, Member Ekiti House of Assembly; Hon. Jonhson Oyekola Bode-Adeoye, Chairman Okemesi/Ido-Ile LCDA; Hon. Sunday Owolabi Ajibade.
Others are the Otun Asiwaju of Okemesi; Chief TPL Bisi Adedire, Chairman House of Assembly Commission in Ekiti State; Hon. Kayode Fasakin, Otunba Atunluse of Okemesi; Chief Lucas Akinwale, Chairman Ekiti State Internal Revenue Services; Pastor Niran Olatona, representatives of Clubs, Associations, NURTW, Okada Riders Group, religious leaders, security personnels, sport lovers and all sons and daughters of Okemesi-Ekiti.
