Political Will, Catalyst to Solving Insecurity in Nigeria – Rev. Ayinde (Watch Video)

A senior pastor of the First Baptist Church (Miracle Cathedral), Okeyinmi Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Rev. Dr Kayode Ayinde has said that political will is the only weapon to conquer and defeat insurgency in Nigeria.

He stated this in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital during an interview session with TopNews Crew.

Rev. Ayinde who observed that insurgency will continue to sprout in Nigeria if political leaders at all levels do not apply their political will in consonant to their procurement of weapons.

According to him, “I thank God for what they are doing, working on the security of the nation but when we have not seen results, we don’t even know they are doing anything and I want to counsel and beg our leaders at all levels that they should have the political will to fight insurgency in Nigeria because the security of lives and properties of the citizens is very important too.

The cleric who added that the issues of insecurity is not limited to Nigeria alone appealed to the citizens to please be on the same page with the leaders through their cooperation to move the country forward. He said, “Every nations has their own security challenges but those who conquered it succeeded because they applied their political will which our leaders too should apply without delay.

He disclosed that a lot has been spent to procure different weapons by different leaders while in power as president of our nation in an attempt to conquer the bandits and kidnappers but yet nothing to show for it.

“Money could be released to procure equipments but if there is no political will from the leaders, it won’t be effective”, Rev. Ayinde concluded.
