Technical Advisor to the Ekiti State Governor on Sports Development, Hon. Dr Olusola Osetoba, has called on the well-meaning people of Ekiti to keep supporting the administration of His Excellency, Mr Biodun Oyebanji in its quest to develop the sporting activities in the State more than ever before.
The sport administrator made the call while fielding questions from TopNews at Oluyemi Kayode Stadium in Ado-Ekiti on Tuesday during a Novelty football match between the members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly and the Executive Council of the Government in commemoration of the 1st Year Anniversary of the 7th Assembly.
Osetoba who thanked the Governor for his unflinching support for both Ekiti Queens Football Club and Ekiti United Football Club in conjunction with other over twenty five sporting activities in the state, appealed to the players to reciprocate the good guesture they are receiving from the government through commitment and hard work to ensure adequate participation in all sports both locally and internationally.
The All Progressives Congress stalwart noted that the giant strides of Mr Oyebanji particularly in the area of sports was second to none. She enjoined both the sport lovers, fans and players to remain focused ahead of the new season.
According to her, “Governor Oyebanji is doing all he could as the leader. Let me encouraged and assured all Ekiti people of His Excellency unending support towards welfare of all sporting activities in Ekiti. The governor will not leave no stone unturned,” Dr Osetoba stated.
She expressed appreciation to the governor, described him a passionate and uncommon leader for his continuous support and switch respond to the sports sector in Ekiti.
While describing Mr Oyebanji a sports-friendly Governor who always wants the best for the state and its people, Hon. Osetoba urged people not to relent in their prayers for the Governor and his cabinet members.
The Emure Ekiti born-politician wished all the Ekiti Assembly members a happy celebration with a call on them to remember the less privileged in their constituencies by putting smiles on their faces.
