Ahead of the Nigeria National League (NLO) campaign competition, the Ekiti United Football Club, the Chairman of Ekiti State Football Association, Chief Oluwole Oloworemo has pledged the commitment of the Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji to take sporting activities to the next level in the state.
Aare Oloworemo gave the assurance during his unscheduled visit to the training venue of Ekiti United FC on Friday, charged them to reciprocate the gestures by governor Oyebanji in developing sports in the state.
During the visit, Aare Oloworemo assured the team of the state government’s and the FA Board’s unwavering support. He admonished the players to be good ambassadors of the state in the competition, emphasizing the importance of representing Ekiti State with dignity and sportsmanship.

Reacting, the team’s Acting Manager, coach Osegboun Anthony, expressed gratitude to the Chairman for the surprise visit and words of encouragement.
He promised that the team would not disappoint the state government, football families, and all Ekiti people.
Coach Anthony emphasized that the team’s goal is clear: “to secure promotion to the Nigeria second-tier league, and they will stop at nothing to achieve it”.
Also the captain of Ekiti United FC, Adewale Makanjuola, thanked the Chairman for the visit.
He hinted that the players are ready to put in their very best efforts to achieve their aim, which is to secure promotion to the second-tier league. Makanjuola promised that the team would fight like a wounded lion to achieve their goal.
With their first match against Adamimogo FC just around the corner, scheduled for Wednesday, April 23rd, at the Ijebu Ode Stadium in Ogun State, Ekiti United FC is poised to make a strong statement in the NLO. The team’s determination and the Chairman’s support are a winning combination that could propel them to success in the competition.
