…Calls for National Unity, Peace, and Prayers for Nigeria
The Chairman of Neyo Foundation, Surveryor Adeniyi Olasupo, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim and Christian faithful on the commencement of the Ramadan and Lenten fasting periods, describing the season as a defining moment for national reflection and collective responsibility.
In a statement made available to journalists in Ado-Ekiti, Surveyor Olasupo congratulated Muslims and Christians in the state and across the country on the 2026 Ramadan and Lenten seasons, noting that the convergence of the two sacred periods carries deep spiritual and national significance.

According to him, the synchronized observance of Ramadan and Lent reinforces the common spiritual foundation of humanity and presents an opportunity for Nigerians to rise above religious divisions, extremism, and intolerance in the interest of national unity and peaceful coexistence.
Surveyor Olasupo called on Nigerians particularly the youth to deploy the season of fasting, prayer, and self-denial as a platform to intercede for the country, urging sustained prayers for economic recovery, social stability, and inclusive prosperity.
The Abuja-based political leader further appealed for prayers for peace and security across Nigeria, stressing that the nation must confront the challenges of insecurity, unemployment, and hardship with renewed faith, patriotism, and collective resolve.
He also urged citizens to pray for peaceful, credible, and violence-free elections in Ekiti State, emphasizing that democracy can only thrive in an atmosphere of peace, orderliness, and respect for the rule of law.
The former House of Representative Candidate described the Ramadan and Lenten seasons as periods of moral rebirth, sacrifice, honesty, and accountability, calling on Nigerians especially young people to embrace these values as tools for national renewal and responsible citizenship.
He noted that the teachings of the holy Prophets Mohammed and Jesus Christ emphasize discipline, compassion, tolerance, and service to humanity, values which he said are urgently needed to reposition Nigeria for sustainable growth and harmony.
“I congratulate Muslims and Christians across Ekiti Central Federal Constituency II and beyond on the observance of Ramadan and the Lenten season. This is a solemn period for spiritual renewal, national introspection, and recommitment to the ideals that bind us together as a people,” he said.
“At this critical juncture in our national life, Nigerians must rise in prayers and collective action to address insecurity, economic hardship, and social dislocation. The lessons of sacrifice, tolerance, unity, and service must guide our conduct during and beyond these sacred seasons.”
“If we allow the values of these holy periods to shape our daily lives and leadership choices, Nigeria will emerge stronger, more united, and more prosperous,” he concluded.
