Excitement as Egbewa Community Landlords’ Association Elects New Executive

…Hails Governor Oyebanji’s Intervention

  • By Demola Atobaba, Ado-EkitiIt was celebration galore as residents of Egbewa Community under the auspicious of Landlords’ Association, Ado-Ekiti, the state capital held its general meeting on Saturday, March 22, 2025, during which critical resolutions were made to enhance the progress of the Community.

The meeting, presided over by the outgoing General Chairman, Pa Eddie Oguntonade, provided an opportunity for members to review past achievements and set the stage for future developments.

Addressing the gathering, Pa Oguntonade expressed deep appreciation to the members of the Association for their unwavering support throughout his tenure.

He particularly extended gratitude to the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency, Biodun Oyebanji, for his swift intervention when the community faced an electricity crisis due to the breakdown of a major transformer.

He said, “Governor Oyebanji not only facilitated the repair of the faulty transformer but also provided an additional transformer to enhance power supply within the community.

Highpoint of the meeting was the adoption of a new Constitution for the Association, aimed at fostering better governance and community development.

The also Association conducted a peaceful elections for the new executives, with the following members emerging as leaders: Comrade Segun Onaade as General Chairman,
Elder M.O. Ajayi as Vice General Chairman,.Mr. Tobi Aderibigbe as General Secretary, Elder Apata Jacob also emerged as Treasurer, while
Mrs. Olufarati Opeoluwa as Assistant General Secretary, Pastor Olomu Olaosebikan won the office of the Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Yemis Owolabi emerged as Financial Secretary and Comrade Tunde Adebisi as Auditor.

In his acceptance speech, the newly elected General Chairman, Comrade Segun Onaade, speaking on behalf of the newly constituted Executive Committee, expressed gratitude to members for entrusting them with leadership.

He pledged that the new team would work diligently to elevate the status of the Egbewa Community, ensuring infrastructural and social development while seeking the continued cooperation of all members.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to strengthening community unity and fostering a productive relationship with government authorities for sustainable development.

The formal inauguration and swearing in of the new Officers will be performed at a later date to be announced.
