New Dawn as Ekiti Ministry of Environment Commissions Brush Cutters to Boost Efficiency

The Ekiti State Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources has taken a significant step towards a cleaner and greener state with the commissioning of six new brush cutters to enhance service delivery and achieve a greener, epidemic-free environment. The Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Erelu Tosin Aluko Ajisafe, presided over the brief ceremony, highlighting the importance of the new equipment. “These brush cutters are a testament to our commitment to providing our workers with the necessary tools to perform their duties more efficiently and optimally,” she stated.

The Commissioner expressed confidence that the new equipment would lead to a more effective and impactful approach to environmental management, translating into a cleaner and more sustainable environment for all residents of Ekiti State. While thanking the Governor for making the funds available, especially during the rainy season, she further urged the staff to embrace a culture of maintenance to ensure the longevity of the new tools.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Babatunde Alokan, also addressed the workers, stressing the importance of utilizing the new equipment responsibly. He reminded the staff of the government’s ongoing concerns about climate change and the critical role they play in mitigating its effects and protecting natural resources.
