Hon. Ajibade Felicitates Good People of Okemesi/Ido-Ile LCDA on Christmas …thanks BAO, electorates over re-election

As Christian faithfuls globally celebrate Christmas to mark the birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, the Executive Chairman, Okemesi Ido-Ile Local Council Development Area in Ekiti State, Hon. Sunday Owolabi Ajibade, rejoice with christians across the two communities and it’s environ on the occasion of the 2023 Christmas and new year celebrations.

Ajibade in a release made available to TopNews in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital described Christmas as a season to appreciate God for His infinite mercies, protection and provisions throughout the year, despite fraught caused by fuel subsidy removal cum other economy challenges. This, he noted necessitated government at all levels to formulate policies to mitigate the sufferings of the masses.

The former lawmaker in the Ekiti state House Assembly congratulates Nigerians, especially the good people of Okemesi/Ido-Ile communities for sailing through the year despite all odds. He prayed God to continue to keep and prosper them in their various endeavours. He admonished Nigerians to show love to one another by reaching out to the less- privileged during the yuletide.

He stressed further that Christmas connotes; appreciation to God Almighty and people that have helped you in one way or the other in the year, showing genuine love to fellow human beings and evaluating the year’s activities for improvement in the new year.

The All Progressives Congress stalwart advised Nigerians to celebrate Christmas with modesty, not to be extravagant and to be security conscious as he assured residents of Okemesi/Ido-Ile LCDA of adequate security of lives and properties before, during and after the yuletide season.

He urged all commercial drivers and Okada riders to limit their speed during the festive period because life has no duplicate, while imploring travellers to always caution drivers and cyclists whenever they are on high speed, adding that they should shun night and early morning journeys for safety of their lives and belongings.

Hon. Ajibade who appreciated the love and cooperation of residents of both communities which according to him has indeed aided his numerous achievements in office, adding that he would continue to contribute to the growth and development of the LCDA and the well-being of the masses. It’s on this note” I wish you all merry Christmas and a prosperous year 2024 in advance”.

While appreciating the electorates over his re-election, the council Boss pledged his readiness to lead his people with integrity and transparency. He hailed Governor Biodun Oyebanji for his support and trust and promised the residents of Okemesi/Ido-Ile communities to upgrade infrastructures, enhance healthcare accessibility, economic prosperity and ensure quality education for youths in the LCDA.

His words: “My re-election marks not just a victory for a candidate but a triumph for the collective aspirations of our communities. We give all the glory and adoration to God Almighty who made it possible for us all to witness a glorious day such as this and gave us a sweet victory. I want to specially appreciate the Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji and his amiable Wife, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji who stood by us, supported us and trusted us with the mandate. We also humbly appreciate, Chief Mrs Monisade Afuye, the Deputy Governor of Ekiti State for her support throughout the contest.

“I thanked all our party leaders for reposing great confidence in our ability to pilot the affairs of our LCDA. We also appreciate all the electorates who defiled all odds to come out massively to elect us through the ballots. Our friends and well-wishers, we can’t but appreciate you greatly.

“This victory is not about one person; it’s about us, the communities that came together with a shared dream. It’s about the mothers and fathers who envision a brighter future for their children, the young minds eager for quality education, the hardworking individuals seeking economic opportunities, and the elders who have witnessed the evolution of our beloved LCDA.
