The Executive Chairperson of Irewolede Local Council Development Area in Iloro-Ekiti, Hon. (Mrs) Dupe Bakare, has branded the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Oyebanji has a round peg in a round hole and one who has totally changed the styles of governance for the benefits of Ekiti people under two years of his administration.
She described the Governor an uncommon and outstanding personality for his exceptional leadership role and his interest in making Ekiti state great especially the grassroots.
Hon. Bakare in an exclusive interview with TopNews at her LCDA office Secretariat in Iloro-Ekiti lauded the administration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji, for prioritizing citizens’ welfare.
She lauded the number one citizen in Ekiti state on good road network, security of lives and properties, electricity, various palliative and empowerment programs embarked on for Ekiti residents in order to cushion the effects of the fuel subsidy removal.
The All Progressives Congress chieftain described the gesture given to her people in Irewolede LCDA in collaboration with the federal government as second to none in the history of the country.
“Under his two years in the saddle as Ekiti governor, he has performed excellently well through his six points agenda. We in Ekiti has never had it so good like this and we thank God through our governor for doing us proud in Ekiti for the sense of belonging given to everyone.”
The council boss, who could not hide her joy on the ‘Award of Excellence on Community Development’ bestowed on her by the Management of Standard Times Media Consult, appreciated the efforts of the governor, his wife, Dr Olayemi and the Deputy Governor, Chief Mrs Monisade Afuye for doing a yeoman job in the state.
Hon. Bakare hailed Governor Oyebanji for giving back to the people, adding that, it was a bold step on his part to have complemented the human capital development of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
She encouraged other well-meaning Ekiti indigens to take a cue from good governance been enjoying in the state and keep supporting the Oyebanji government to succeed in his bid to take Ekiti to the next level, adding that, the efforts of the state government for the initiative, highlighting that the spirit of giving at this trying time was highly commendable.
The Temidire-Ekiti born politician pledged the readiness and commitment of the people of the LCDA to indicate their further support for the Oyebanji’s administration.
Hon. Bakare reiterated that Ekiti people to come together especially in this auspicious time to support the “ongoing good work of the governor so as to give room for the continuity agenda of APC.”
The event was attended by the top management staff of the council, led by the Head of Local Administration, Mr. Titiloye Omotayo and members of Bakare Babes who rendered different songs in supporting the administration of the council chairperson.
