The Executive Chairman of Ado Central Local Council Development Area in Ado-Ekiti, Hon. Toyin Ojo has reitrates and reassured his commitment to bring more developmental projects to the people of his domain in the state capital.
He gave the assurance in an interactive session with TopNews in Ado-Ekiti shortly after his inauguration ceremony performed by the Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Chief Mrs Monisade Afuye and the cabinet members in attendance.
Engr. Ojo while pledging his administration readiness to deliver on the mandate given to him by the Governor Biodun Oyebanji to generate more revenue for the LCDA and the State at large, promised to set a new records for the collection of the Internally Generated Revenue with a vow that he will never stop the good work he has started in his first tenure in office.
It would be recalled that Governor Oyebanji during the inauguration of the newly elected local council chairmen and LCDA, charged them to ensure that they work hard to improve their IGR and the security in the state. He added that the Chairmen will be judged based on their performance in the above two areas.
The Ado-Ekiti born Engineer, cum politician stated that his goal is to raise the bar in terms of revenue generation.
His words: “I want to raise the bar from last year, when we generated N5million. This year 2024, we will ensure we generate about N16million so that, we will be able to raise the bar so that whosoever comes after me, will continue from where I stopped because without such, one will not be able to do anything” the LCDA Chairman revealed.
Addressing his re-election, the Hon. Ojo said, “I am very happy because I think this is the first time in the history of Ado-Ekiti that the local government chairman will be elected twice. This is the first time it will happen. I so am elated to be one of those people to be elected twice in the history of this state”.
While appreciated the efforts of the governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Oyebanji for his developmental agenda in the state, Hon. Ojo solicited more support for the administration of Mr governor to take Ekiti to the next level. He also went on appeal further to his people to give him all the needed corporations that his administration has been enjoying to enable him do more for his people.“
“I have been known for development in terms of providing water, electricity and road construction in the LGA”.
Engr. Ojo thanked leaders of All Progressives Congress (APC), friends, families and the entire people of Ado-Ekiti for their overwhelming support towards his re-election bid in year 2023.
