The Management of Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti is delighted to celebrate an outstanding achievement of one of its graduates from the Department of Mathematics, Emmanuel Alayande College of Education Study Centre, Ajao Emmanuel Kayode who has been conferred with the President’s National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Honour Award for exemplary service, dedication and impactful contribution during the 2024/2025 service year.
In a statement made available to TopNews in Ado-Ekiti by the Deputy Registrar/Head, Directorate of Information & Corporate Affairs, Dr Bode Olofinmuagun said, the prestigious was presented by the Presidency for his selfless commitment to national development and the remarkable impact he made during the mandatory one year national service.

As part of the award, Ajao was offered automatic employment into the Federal Civil Service, received a fully-funded scholarship for doctoral degree and a cash gift of ₦250,000.00.
This honour underscores Ekiti State University’s commitment to producing graduates who are not only academically sound, but, also socially responsible, innovative and capable of competing favourably with their counterparts in any part of the World.
The Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Babatola Ayodele described the national award as a testimony to the quality of graduates being produced in the university, coupled with the relevance of the institution’s academic and ethical training. He, therefore, commended the awardee for being a worthy ambassador of the institution and a role model to the current and future students of the great citadel of learning.
