Ekiti Youth Commissioner Hails Tinubu Over Asefon’s Appointment as SSA …Says appointment, pride to Ekiti youth

The Ekiti State Commissioner for Youth Development, Hon. Adesola Gold Adedayo, has expressed heartfelt and deep appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing former National Association of Nigeria Students’ President, Comrade Sunday Asefon, as a Senior Special Assistant in the presidency .

While congratulating Governor Biodun Oyebanji on the highly beneficial achievement, Adedayo branded the injection of Asefon into the fold of presidential aides as a pride to Ekiti youth.

President Tinubu, on Thursday, announced the respectable students’ leader and graduate of the Ekiti State University(EKSU) as a Senior Special Assistant on Students’ engagements.

Addressing Journalists in Ado-Ekiti, on Thursday, Adedayo rejoiced with Asefon on the appointment, urging him to bring his wealth of experience to bear to justify his being elevated to the current position.

Praising President Tinubu for counting an illustrious Ekiti youth worthy of being catapulted to such coveted height, the Commissioner, expressed confidence in Asefon’s knack to add value to presidency and the lives of the Nigerian students.

He said the appointment coming at this time would radicalise the education sector and put the issues surrounding the welfare of the student populace to the front burner, considering the enormous experience and respect the appointee commnands among the students.

Adedayo said: “Let me on behalf of the teeming Ekiti youth congratulate Com Sunday Asefon on this meritorious appointment that has become a pride to us in Ekiti, especially within the ranks of our highly resourceful and intellectually-savvy youth population.

“I know the former NANS’ President as a man of strong will and commitment to add value wherever he finds himself to render services to humanity. Comrade Asefon exhibited this as a students’ leader in EKSU, as NANS’ Director of Mobilisation in the Southwest Zone D and National President of NANS.

“He is passionate and incurably committed to the welfare and wellbeing of the students. I am quite convinced that President Tinubu has not made any mistake in his appointment.

“I charge him to live up to the biddings of bringing the best to the students’ body as a presidential liaison officer between the presidency and the students across Nigeria , so that his reign can be momentous and indelible in the annals of history”, the Commissioner advised.
