The Ekiti State chapter of the Association of Nigerian Authors (EkANA), has hailed the recent appointment of one of its members and a former national General Secretary of the association, Akogun Tai Oguntayo by the state Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji.
Akogun who made the list of recent appointments by the Governor as the Technical Advisor, Public Communication – Political to the Governor.
In a congratulatory statement made available to TopNews in Ado-Ekiti by it’s Public Relations Officer, Mr Wole Balogun, the state chairman of EkANA, Dr. Olugbenga Daramola, said the appointment of Akogun Tai Oguntayo by Governor Oyebanji is a right step in a right direction, as the development would add value to the government.
The statement reads in part: “We hereby applaud the right decision recently taken by our action governor, His Excellency, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji in appointing one of our amiable members, Akogun Tai Oguntayo as the Technical Advisor on Public Communication -Political Affairs.
“Akogun has huge capacity to discharge his duties excellently well, because he has the pedigree.
“He is a veteran journalist, lawyer and grass root politician with great understanding of the political terrain of Ekiti State.
“These attributes have readily prepared him for the job. He is also a natural leader whose leadership skills have been deployed to impart positively on his colleagues in the media profession in Ekiti State and at the national level.
“We thank His Excellency for appointing one of us into his cabinet.”
