The Executive Chairman of Okemesi/Ido-Ile Local Council Development Area, Hon. Owolabi Ajibade, has joined Christians globally to rejoice with the people of the two communities for the grace of God that sustained their lives to witness the 2024 Easter celebration.
He called on Christians in the LCDA and across the country to imbibe the virtues of Jesus Christ, adding that the selflessness exhibited by Jesus Christ when He laid down His life for mankind is worthy of emulation.
The Easter greetings was contained in a statement signed and made available to journalists in Ado-Ekiti by the LCDA Chairman.
He also extended solidarity to Muslim faithful who are still in the period of fasting, urging them to remain strong and observe the Holy month diligently so as to benefit from the blessings of Allah.
Hon. Ajibade prayed God to continue to uphold members of the LCDA and grant them good health and the enablement to witness many more celebrations to come.
The former House of Assembly member hinted that Jesus is an ideal example of how we should pattern our lives, stressing that Christ has shown to us what passion, sacrifice, perseverance and determination can achieve if we will mirror His lifestyle.
The council boss however advised Christians and the good people of Okemesi/Ido-Ile LCDA to see the season of Easter as an opportunity to show love to one another, pray for the peace and prosperity of not only the council but Ekiti State and Nigeria at large.
The All Progressives Congress chieftain also encouraged stakeholders and all indigenes of the LCDA to be steadfast and courageous in seeking to contribute their quota to the development of the council and to eschew any acts that could disrupt its unity and peace.
He therefore congratulated and wish all residents of Okemesi, Ido-Ile communities and it’s environ a happy Easter celebration.
