Diri Appreciates Yenagoa Constituency 3 for Standing by PDP

Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri has expressed utmost thanks to the people of Okordia, Biseni and Zarama Clans in Constituency 3 in Yenagoa LGA for always voting the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Speaking during the campaign tour of communities in Constituency 3 in Yenagoa LGA, Diri said that Constituency 3 has always been the stronghold of the Peoples Democratic Party and expressed optimism that the people will still keep faith with the party during the November 11 governership election in the state.

He emphasized that over the years the people of Okordia Biseni and Zarama have enjoyed the dividends of democracy from the People’s Democratic party, adding that the PDP elected representatives and political appointees from the areas have performed well.

He used the opportunity of the visit to appreciate the people of the constituencies for always standing by him during and after elections, and also promised the rehabilitation of the schools and road in Biseni, and to light up all the communities he visited with solar lights.

The Bayelsa State Governor admonished the people to continue to be law-abiding as dividends of good governance will delivered to them by the Prosperity Administration.

Diri urged the people not to be distracted by the threats of violence from the opposition APC but rather come out enmass to vote for the PDP and protect their votes.

“More importantly today, our very good people of Constituency 3, Okordia, Biseni and Zarama, I want to thank you because in very election you have been voting for the PDP and the PDP has never disappointed.

“Here we have had House of Assembly members that have done very well, we have had Gentle Emelah, Ted Elemefuro and they are all doing very well. Okordia, Biseni and Zarama Constituency 3 is a PDP Constituency and I know that you will do it again.

“Even on the ground they can’t have this number of people that is here in Okordia, Biseni and Zarama. So that day the way you have come today to come to receive us , we are very happy come out the same way on the 11 of November and show them you own this place and there is no amount of intimidation that will make you to fail,,” he concluded.

Also speaking, the Director General of the PDP Gubernatorial Campaign Council, Mitema Obordor, reiterated the earlier call for all security agencies to arrest the APC deputy Governorship candidate, Joshua Maciver for inciting violence during the campaign in Brass LGA.

Obordor described the PDP as the party that represents light while the APC represent darkness and enjoined all asundry to vote massively for the PDP.

Also speaking, Hon. Faith Williams and Hon. Larry Osukpa both Senior Special Assistant to Governor Diri highlighted the various developmental projects embarked upon by the Prosperity Government and vowed to deliver massively for the PDP.
