Football fans in Ekiti State will on Sunday enjoy live action involving the State Football team, Ekiti United as the Nigeria National Football League Stadium Compliance Committee has lifted the ban placed on the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium in Ado-Ekiti from hosting league matches.
Due to poor State of the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium pitch, the NNL had previously taken Ekiti United FC match to Akure where they played and lost to Madiba FC.
Following the unpleasant situation, the Management of the Ekiti State Sports Council and Ekiti United Football Club intensified efforts to ensure the pitch regained it’s grass as all matches were barred from taking place there since then.
