The Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Delegated Legislation, Hon. Femi Bamisile, has felicitated former Governor Segun Oni for clocking a ripe and statesmanship age of 70.
Bamisile, a ranking Federal Lawmaker, was enthralled with how the former governor’s life trajectory was replete with stunning and outstanding accomplishments as a refined technocrat and politician, thereby making him a beacon of hope to generations.
Bamisile, who represents Ekiti South Federal Constituency II, said this in a congratulatory message titled: ‘Celebrating a Life Full of Indelible Imprints’, which he personally signed and addressed to Engr Oni, on the occasion of his 70th Birthday Anniversary slated for today, September 5, 2024.
The former Speaker, in his message, paid glowing tributes to the former Governor for boldly and indelibly etching his name in gold as a honest, sacrificial, meek and transparent leader, whose personality, antecedents and track records have attracted national respect, having carved a distinct niche for himself as a politician.
Bamisile said Oni is fondly venerated for his purposeful leadership acumen and shrewd skills in management of human and material resources, which he exhibited at various state and national assignments he had been saddled with.
“I join myriad of your admirers to celebrate you on this memorable occasion of your 70th Birthday, holding today, September 5, 2024.
“Undoubtedly, your seven decades on earth were replete with remarkable accomplishments in all fields of human endeavours. You are not just a household name in Ekiti, but your personality resonates respect, panache, clairvoyance and had assumed a magnetic force attracting people across strata.
“At home, you are an outstanding family man and father. In the church of God, you reverberate positivity. In your community, you are a leader with unparalleled and unbruised character. In the political turf, you remain an enigma and unique leader, with huge cult-like followership.
“Your stint as a governor of our dear State left indelible marks on the sand of time. Despite the odds and undercurrents, you remain a benchmark and prism through which good governance is assessed. You are indeed a pride to Ekiti by your incorruptible and spartan lifestyle.
“I appreciate God’s enormous grace in your life, and fervently pray to Him to grant you longevity with good health, so that you can spend the rest of your days in peace and sound mental state”.
