Akin Osuntokun Appointed New Chairman OCHTC

Former Special Assistant to the Nigeria president, Chief Aremu Olusegun Obasanjo on Political Matters, Bashorun Akintola Osuntokun, has been appointed the new Chairman of Okemesi Cultural Heritage Committee in Ekiti West Local Government Area of the state.

In a statement signed by the Owa-Ooye of Okemesi-Ekiti and former Chairman of Ekiti State Traditional Rulers, HRM Oba Michael Gbadebo Adedeji, JP, CON, the Ariyowonye II, in conjunction with the Owa-Ooye-In-Council and made available to TopNews in Ado-Ekiti by the secretary of the committee, Comrade Abraham Olusegun-Adeleye confirmed the appointment of the veteran journalist.

According to him, “The Cultural Heritage and Tourism Committee has directed me, on behalf of the Owa-Ooye and Owa-Ooye-In-Council, to announce Balogun Akintola Osuntokun’s nomination as the new Chairman of the Okemesi Culture Heritage and Tourism Committee (OCHTC), effective immediately.

“For decades, Chief Akintola Osuntokun had expressed genuine care and support for Okemesi progress beyond cultural blending.

The statement also read, “His nomination and appointment are based on his outstanding leadership skills and vision as Culture Ambassador.

“Okemesi traditional institutions believe that Balogun Akintola will use his extensive knowledge, network, and vision to alter this futuristic sector to the benefit of Okemesi Ekiti.

“We congratulate him and wish him a successful time in office”, the statement stated.
