The Irewolede Local Council Development Area secretariat was agog on Monday as the council boss, Hon. (Mrs) Dupe Bakare was bestowed with an award of excellence by Standard Times Media Consult.
This award is coming barely one week after receiving similar award from her alma mater, the Mary Immaculate Grammar School, Ado-Ekiti.
Hon. Bakare was single out for the award as a result of her selfless service towards the grassroot development and other achievements made so far as the Executive Chairperson of Irewolede LCDA.
The standard Times Media Consult which specialized in publishing, news coverage, advertising, public relations among others, described Bakare as a virtuous woman and woman of integrity due to her commitment towards community development.

Bakare was considered worthy of the award after a careful monitoring, assessment and evaluation of her performance in the last two and half years, especially in domesticating the agenda of the present administration in the state.
“Infact, it will not be out of place to describe her as an uncommon woman, doing uncommon things, and with uncommon results, for people to see”.
“Her giant strides that dotted towns and communities in Irewolede LCDA today are just too huge, and tremendous to Overlook”, said Omotayo.
Hon. Bakare while reacting to the conferment, applauded Standard Times Media Consult for recognizing her administration’s laudable achievements and promised to work harder in bringing more dividends of democracy to the good people of Irewolede LCDA in support of governor Biodun Oyebanji’s administration in Ekiti State.
The achievement of the council boss Hon. Bakare were numerous despite the economic challenges affecting global community but Bakare made it cleared that she was able to accomplish most of her mission due to prayer, selfless service, commitment, dedication, focus and determination.
She spoke further that she also enjoyed the cooperation of both the entire staff and the indigenes of the council who has contributed greatly to the development of the LCDA.
The event was graced by top management staff of the LCDA, led by the Head of Local Government Administration, Mr. Titiloye Omotayo, while Bakare Babes added colour to the event with songs, eulogizing the council boss.
