All is now set as Okemesi community will be playing hosts to who-is-who in the society this Tuesday when the gates of the very privately owned Hillside University of Science and Technology in Ekiti State will be inaugurated.
The occasion which promises to attract dignitaries from various parts of the country will be commissioned by the representatives of the Nigeria University Commission (NUC), traditional ruler of the hosting community, Owa-Ooye of Okemesiland, His Royal Majesty Oba Michael Gbadebo Adedeji, JP, CON in the presence of invited National Assembly Members, educationists, Ministers and others well-wishers.
One of the promoters of the University, Mr Laoye Jayeola, has earlier said the completion of the institution was a dream come true.
He said he took a cue from the exploits of the owners of Higher institutions in Nigeria, hence he’s investing personal resources on the University with a view to complementing government’s efforts in the education sector and to bring more developmental strides to his home town.
According to a statement made available to TopNewsng in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital said that the event will take place on Tuesday, November 14th 2023 at the premises of the University by 11:00am prompt.
It added that, some of the prominent personalities expected to attend the event include the Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Stephen Adeoye Aribasoye, Executive Chairman of Okemesi Ido-Ile Local Council Development Area; Hon. Sunday Owolabi Ajibade, Ekiti State Commissioner for Health; Dr Oyebanji Filani, National President; Federation of Okemesi Improvement Union (FOIU); Mr Nathaniel Olaoye, Chairman Ekiti State Internal Revenue Services; Pastor Niran Olatona, Chief Ilesanmi Ajibade, Ekiti West Constituency II party chairman alongside other prominent indigenes of the town both home and in diaspora.
It enjoined dignitaries within and outside Okemesi community and the general public to grace the occasion.
Meanwhile, the Chairman, Ekiti State House of Assembly Service Commission, Hon. Fasakin Kayode Ayayi, has graciously made a provision for an eighteen (18) seater bus for the conveyance of all the interested sons and daughters of our Okemesi to and fro to Hillside University site.
In a release made available to TopNewsng enjoyed all well wishers to assemble at the Palace Square entrance of Owa-Ooye of Okemesiland by 9:00am where all will be lifted to the Hillside University grounds for the official commissioning of the new Institution.
