Stage Set As Ijero Residents Benefits Free Medical Programs

It is now turn of the residents of Ijero community as all road leads to Palace of the Owa-Ajero of Ijero-Ekiti to benefit from a free-health mission for the people of the town and it’s environ.
The free medical mission will feature free eye checks, screening and treatment of common ailments, was organized in commemoration of the 50th birthday of the Mandate Secretary of Health Services and Environment, Dr. Dolapo Fasawe and to support the good work of Governor Biodun Oyebanji administration in providing free and qualitative health care for the vulnerable as enshrined in his 6-point agenda, as the SSA Farm Settlement and Agriculture to Ekiti State Governor, Mr Adewole Temitope is set to offer a day free health mission at the Ajero’s Palace in Ijero Ekiti, the hometown of Dr. Dolapo Fasawe
Speaking with TopNews on the free health mission, Mr Adewole noted that the Mandate Secretary is continuously finding ways to improve the health status of her people in Nigeria particularly in Ekiti State, Lagos State and Abuja through one of her medical programs, the Free health mission.
Hence, the plan for achieving this was based on her Idea of the Free Health for the people at the grassroots.
She’s an advocate for patients, it’s an opportunity to bring attention to the importance of advocating for equitable healthcare at the grassroots
According to the SSA, “Ijero residents will be screened and managed for non-communicable diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, eye diseases and dental problems. The programme also offers counseling sessions”.
The Adewole also added that the Health Missions is a short-term intervention, to  ensure universal health coverage as well as providing services that take health care to the doorsteps of Ijero-Ekiti residents at no cost to the people.
“This health mission is significant because it enables the Mandate Secretary to provide healthcare services to all who come irrespective of their age, gender, socioeconomic status and affiliations to celebrate her birthday”.
The SSA noted the Mandate Secretary has been offering the Medical Mission for her Ekiti indigenes across the 16 Local Governments for over 10-years and will not stop soon.
He urged residents to take good advantage of the free services offered by the medical mission team.
