The Ekiti State Boxing Association’s Chairman, Hon. Israel Adesokan, gave a stirring sendoff to the state’s boxers as they departed for the National Sport Festival in Ogun State, charging them to make the state proud and bring home gold medals.
In a statement made available to TopNews in Ado-Ekiti by the Media Officer of the Association, Bernard Fagbemiro said, Hon. Adesokan urged the boxers to be focused and determined in their quest for medals, noting that they are not just fighting for personal glory but also for the pride of Ekiti State. He expressed his confidence in their abilities and charged them to go out there and make Ekiti State proud.
Coach Olusola Aderemi Austin, who led the boxers to the festival, expressed his optimism about the team’s chances. “I promise the Chairman and the good people of Ekiti State that our boxers will bring back gold medals from the National Sport Festival,” he said confidently. “We have worked hard, and I have no doubt that our team will make Ekiti State proud.”
