The chairman of Motor Dealers Association of Nigeria (MODAN), Ekiti State chapter, Pastor Smart Friday has commended the governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for leaving no stone unturned over his developmental agendas in Ekiti.
He disclosed that within the short period in the saddle as the number one citizen in the state, various communities under his supervision has made tremendous progress so far considering some of the developmental projects in Ekiti as a result of the God-fearing and well determined governor in power.
Pastor Smart Friday gave the commendation during an exclusive interview with TopNewsng in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital. He lauded the governor for promised fulfilled to Ekiti people.
Pastor Friday who observed that within the short period in the saddle as the people’s governor, all the Ekiti communities under his supervision has made tremendous progress so far considering some of the ongoing developmental projects as a result of God-fearing and well determined governor in power.
He said the actions of the governor so far has really shown that Ekiti people will know his administration for better because he was well prepared for the tasks ahead.
The MODAN chairman expressed his gratitude to the governor for being a grassroot leader and for walking the talk since the inception of his administration in Ekiti state.
He described the governor as God’s sent to Ekiti people considering all the developmental progress and community engagements of the governor and his cabinet less than a year in office.
According to him, “It amazed us seeing the governor passing bye and decided to come down from the convoy to our playing ground and be playing draft game with us on just a seat bench beside the road despite his busy schedule and the fact that we didn’t invite him. Such an action is not common to people in high places like him. We are so privileged in Ekiti State to have someone like him as our governor who can sincerely come down to the downtrodden to played with them”.
“I’m using this medium to appreciate our governor for recognizing and appointed one of our person from Omuo-Ekiti in Ekiti East Local Government to his cabinet as the commissioner for Transports in Ekiti.
“We know that he is capable of harmonising everyone in the state and we therefore reminds His Excellency, governor Oyebanji not to forget our union, the Motor Dealers Association in Ekiti.
He promised that he will patronize Motor Dealers and other local contents which truly he has been since he came on board. We’ve tabled our demand few months ago and we’re saying the that governor should remember us in his developmental agenda in order to put smiles on the faces of our members too because we all supported his ambition during the electioneering campaign period”, he stated.
