Ekiti state athletes that have won medals in the ongoing 22nd edition of the National Sports Festival tagged Gateway Games in Ogun State were decorated with their medals on Thursday.
Weighlifters Abayomi Adeleye who won Bronze in 56kg category and Tope Oluwafemi who won one silver and one bronze medals in the 102kg events were decorated at the Ikene games centre.
Team Ekiti in Ayo Olopon game,Yaya Omolara who won Bronze medal in the women’s single and Ruth Omolara who jointly won Bronze in women’s double of the game were also decorated.
In Wushu kung-fu 90kg Prudent Wilfred who clinched Bronze medal was also decorated with his medal.
So far,Ekiti has won four medals, three Bronze and one silver on the medals table.
Also on Thursday, Adeleye Daniel moved to the next round of the tennis after beaten his opponent 4-1, 4-1 while Mathew Abamu was also in action,just as Team Ekiti featured in game of boxing and Cycling.
Actions continue this Friday as Ekiti will be competing in the game of scable in different categories at Ikene centre.
