Chairman of Ado Central Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Engr. Toyin Ojo and other residents of Ado-Ekiti, have commended the lawmaker representing Ado Constituency 1 in the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Hon. Ayo Adegbite over the free-health mission program for the people of his community.
The event which co-sponsored with Patent Pathways International, was held on Tuesday 9th July, at a spacious Oke Oniyo Health Centre Area of Ado-Ekiti, the free medical mission tagged: “Hon. Ayo Adegbite 2024 Free Medical Mission”, featured free eye checks, screening and treatment of common ailments witnessed dignitaries and beneficiaries across the length and breath of the state.
Engr. Ojo in an exclusive interview with TopNews in Ado-Ekiti said, the gesture will definitely go a long way at improving the health of residents of Ado-Ekiti people.
According to him, “This is not the first time Hon. Ayo Adegbite would be organizing this type of free health program for his people. We really appreciate him for the love and passion that the lawmaker displayed towards the Ado-Ekiti people because this is really commendable because a good numbers of people couldn’t afford money to purchase drugs.”

The council boss hinted that his LCDA is also planning to organize a big health mission program for it’s people so as to ensure regular medical checkup and the well-being for the people of Ado-Ekiti.
Other beneficiaries who include males and females in a chat with newsmen, appreciated the lawmaker for remembered them in this trying time.

While promising to make judicious use of all what they received through the event, they appealed to other well-meaning people of the state to emulate the gesture.
Reacting in a separate interview with journalists, Hon. Ayo Adegbite thanked the people of his Consituency for the confidence repose in him and as well for trouped out enmass for the program.

The lawmaker who could not hide his joy over the turnout of residents of Ado-Ekiti, charged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the drugs and also to continue their prayers and support for the administration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji in order to ensure that the vision to take Ekiti to the next level is achieved.
He explained that the primary focus of the programme is achieving the common health related issues which, among others, include free eye check and glasses, health education, diabetes screening, hypertension screening and intervention, medical consultations and checkup, as well a dental consultations.

Other areas of services offered at the event were free medications, simple health education procedures, and reproductive health counselling.
The All Progressives Congress chieftain further said, the medical mission was one of his priorities in the area of giving back to his people and also as part of the electioneering campaign promises to the electorates.

He added that the programme serves as alternative access to healthcare delivery especially to his people at the grassroots and to support the good work of the Governor Oyebanji in providing free and qualitative health care for the vulnerable as enshrined in his 6-point agenda.
His words: “the Governor is continuously finding ways to improve the health status of its ever-increasing population. This programme is geared toward promoting health, detecting diseases early, and offering treatment and rehabilitation, particularly in the area of eye checks.”
Adegbite called on other leaders in the state to continue to contribute their quota towards the development of the state through selfless and unbiased service as being exemplified by the governor Oyebanji’s led-administration.
