A 90-year-old man simply called Afolabi by name has damaged the left eye of his son after subjecting him to severe torture and beating.
It was confirmed that the incident happened in Aaye-Ekiti in Ido/Osi Local government.
According to report, the man tied the 8-year-old boy to a tree and flogged him many times as the helpless boy cried for help.
TopNewsng gathered that in the process of torturing the boy, the stick he was using to beat him, hit the boy in his eye and damaged the socket.
It took the efforts of some passers-by to rescue the boy from the man.
The residents who were unhappy with the situation called on non-govermental organizations and security agencies at all levels to take up the matter and sanction the man to serve as deterrent to others.
