•••Calls on Governor Oyebanji, Senate Leader, Hon. Fatoba’s urgent intervention

Occupants of Rock Arena community along new Ado/Iyin road in Ado-Ekiti, has sent a “Save Our Souls” message to the Ekiti State Governor; Biodun Oyebanji, leader of the Senate; senator Opeyemi Bamidele and Hon. Sola Fatoba to please come to their rescue through provision of electricity, solar energy and also fix the road leading to the community.
The residents numbering over One Hundred and Fifty (150) Houses called on the governor and other political office holders to assist them in fast-tracking the project in order to make life better for the occupants.
In an exclusive interview with TopNnews Correspondent in Ado-Ekiti, the Vice Chairman landlords association of the community, Evangelist Olusegun Omoyajowo lamented that residents of the community have been in darkness for over seven years after so many efforts made without yielding any meaningful outcome.

His words: “We have written many letters on assistance just to get it done and that, this time around, we the entire landlords and landladies of the the Rock Arena community hereby again beging our talk and do governor Biodun Oyebanji for the electrification and transformer installation in our area”.
According to him, “Rock Arena is a fast-growing and developing community of not less than One Hundred and Fifty (150) houses located along new Ado-Iyin road in Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government and less than half (1/2) a kilometer to Corper’s Lodge where the facility (Electricity) terminated here in Ado-Ekiti.
“We have been battling with this project since 2018 as a community, but we are not financially buoyant to get it done on time. We like to seek your indulgence as a listening Governor to assist us in bringing light into the Arena, because we know and have knowledge of good and valuable projects you are doing in all the nooks and crannies of the state.
Omoyajowo hoping that if the electrification project of the axis is been executed, it will improve and boost the economy of the state and thereby enhance the standard living of the people residing in the community and make life bearable for them.
Another resident who spoke with our newsmen, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Ogunlade appealed to the Ekiti State Community and Social Development Agency (EKSCDA), to respond to the cries of the people living in the area, noting that if the project is done, it will improve the life of the residents in the area and also help the security and discourage criminal activities.
“We are appealing to the governor and other stakeholders to help us out. We have been living in darkness for several years now and that is why we are soliciting for his assistance to come to our rescue”.

Mrs. Ogunlade hinted that the two lawmakers representing the community, Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele and Hon. Sola Fatoba needs to visit the place to see d the levels of their suffering.
“We are begging on our lawmakers to place come to our side in this community. All our electronic gadgets had spoiled already due to lack of electricity”.
She also reminded Governor Oyebanji on the rehabilitation of the two access roads linking to the Arena so as to make life bearable for them.
The community leaders however, assuring the government of their unalloyed community support to take Ekiti to a greater height.
