Ahead of the Monday July 28, 2025 Statewide Endorsement ceremony for organized for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Biodun Oyebanji, concern stakeholders in Ekiti State has commended the efforts of the President and Ekiti Governor’s stewardship in less than three years in the saddle.
Addressing journalists at a press briefing held in Ado-Ekiti on Thursday, the Chairman of the Statewide Endorsement Committee, Surveyor Abiodun Aluko disclosed that the sterling performance of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu and governor Biodun Oyebanji will earn them another good term to serve in office.
According to him, “the event is not just an endorsement but a people-driven affirmation of the transformative leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji. It is a confirmation of the series of endorsements cutting across all strata and a unification of the wish of Ekiti people and beyond to unite behind a common vision for continued progress”.
It is therefore a defining moment in our political journey, a moment to reaffirm our commitment, express our gratitude, and showcase the enduring partnership between leadership and the people.
“As we come together in unity and purpose, we must begin by acknowledging the exemplary leadership and unwavering dedication of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, to the progress of Nigeria and the upliftment of all federating states, particularly Ekiti State.
The former Deputy Governor noted that, “under President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, we have witnessed bold economic reforms, renewed energy in infrastructural development, decentralization of power, and robust infrastructural development and an intentional drive toward inclusion and innovation.
“His support for sub-national development, and strategie backing of state-led initiatives, have directly benefited Ekiti State in areas including youth empowerment and entrepreneurship schemes, agricultural empowerment programmes, digital economy growth, and national security providing a solid foundation for sustainable progress.
President Tinubu remains a strong pillar of democratic stability and national development, and it is only fitting that this programme provides an opportunity to express our collective endorsement and appreciation.
The All Progressives Congress chieftain while commending Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s stewardship equally celebrate the sterling achievements of the governor and his Deputy, Chief Mrs Monisade Afuye.
“We also celebrate our own Governor, His Excellency, Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji. In less than three years, Governor Oyebanji has demonstrated uncommon focus, humility, and effectiveness in governance.
“From road construction and rural electrification to investments in education, healthcare, and job creation, Ekiti State has witnessed immeasurable progress across the six key development pillars of his administration.
The BAO administration’s consultative and people-first approach has solidified a broad-based trust across communities, youth groups, professionals, and traditional institutions. The Endorsement Programme is therefore a citizen-driven initiative to recognize these laudable strides and reaffirm our support for continuity and good governance.
His words; “I am pleased to inform you that all necessary arrangements have been completed to ensure a smooth and successful event as all relevant stakeholders, community associations, artisan groups, youth and women groups, trade unions, and political blocs have been due contacted and properly briefed on the ongoing unified endorsement programme”.
Surveyor Aluko assured that the security of lives and properties are in safe hand as the committee has already collaborated with the Nigeria Police, NSCDC, DSS, and other relevant agencies, noting that comprehensive security architecture is in place to safeguard lives and property before, during, and after the event.
He described the event as a celebration of progress and unity. “This is a celebration of progress and unity-not an avenue for conflict or disorder. We therefore appeal to all and sundry to comply with security guidelines, maintain decorum, and support a peaceful, inclusive, and celebratory atmosphere throughout the endorsement process.
“We trust in the good conduct of Ekiti people, known for their civility, maturity, and democratic ethos. Let us prove, once again, that Ekiti leads not only in intellect but in peaceful political expression”.
He noted that the statewide endorsement programme is a platform to consolidate the shared vision for sustained progress and a call to unity, gratitude, and continuity.
Aluko urged Ekiti people to come out in their numbers, orderly, proud, and hopeful to reaffirm their support for the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji come Tuesday July 28.
Dignitaries at the event include, the Secretary to the Ekiti State Government; Prof. Abibat Adubiaro, Commissioner of Information; Chief Taiwo Olatunbosun, former Deputy Governor; Prof. Modupe Adelabu, secretary of the statewide endorsement committee; Hon. Oladapo Karounwi, members of the Ekiti State House Assembly, political appointees, among others.
